Digital Marketing Experience

I believe digital marketing is the way for a brand to tell the stories of their customers. Through these stories, customers are able to form a more meaningful relationship with the brand and connect with others around the world that have a similar interest as them. During my work experience, I have learned the value of understanding a customer's journey, how creating trustworthy content can build relationships with customers, and how those relationships can flourish into brand loyalty and community.

Producing Blog Content

Writing blog content is crucial for connecting and building trust with your customers. As editor of community branded blog, HearingLikeMe.com, I managed 15+ freelance writers to create content to publish daily that would serve as a resource for Phonak hearing aid wearers and the deaf and hard of hearing community. I held our blog content to a high standard, ensuring that it was timely, reflected the values of HearingLikeMe and Phonak, and related to the community our publication served. During my time as editor, I increased our blog traffic 30% year over year. This experience has given me the skills to write, edit, and publish blog content to increase brand awareness and connect with customers.

Social Media and Community Management


Not only is creating high-quality blog content essential for connecting with customers and building community, but an authentic social media presence is also essential as well. During my time managing social media, we organically grew our numbers vastly, including starting an Instagram account from 0 to almost 10,000 followers (organic growth.) I used social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) as tools to drive traffic to our blog and as a way to have real-time conversations with the community. I would answer questions about products, content, and general hearing loss questions. As someone who has lived their life with hearing loss, I was able to connect with the community on a personal level

As our social media presence began to grow, I brought on a social media manager who I collaborated with to manage social channels. I oversaw the social media strategy, keeping up with current social media trends, and ensuring our content remained consistent with the brand. 

Influencer Marketing

By publishing consistent, trustworthy content on the HearingLikeMe.com blog and social media channels, I built strong relationships with those in the community leading to creating a team of influencer marketers. I managed an influencer/ambassador program of over 150+ people, and a small core team of 15+ freelancers creating consistent content for the brand. 

By collaborating with community members to promote our products and brand, we were able to maintain an authentic, relatable brand voice that was represented by those who truly care about our products and brand. 

SEO and Analytics

Although I enjoy producing and coordinating content, my favorite part about content marketing is optimizing content and watching it grow over time. 

As editor of HearingLikeMe, I would develop and share reports on website traffic and social media analytics with my content team. I would make recommendations on how we can improve content based on the trends and patterns shown in the numbers. 

As an SEO, I've performed ongoing keyword research to optimize old content and to look for new keyword opportunities. I also would research and implement search engine optimization recommendations to increase organic traffic.
